We want to thank you for your participation in our events held on March 5 and March 19. As a follow up to the events, please check out the graphic illustration with highlights from the discussion and our guest speaker on Employee Resource Groups, Gwenna Kadima.
As next steps we are working on our 2024-2025 plan, as part of our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) Blueprint, which will include applying our maturity model approach to the Affinity Groups program.
For next steps for you, we recommend the following:
- Keep The Conversation Going: Strike up a conversation with a colleague or your manager about these events. Share what you learned and what you are interested in learning more about (and if you would like to, tell us how the conversation went, we’d love to hear from you) – Email our team at Diversity@algonquincollege.com
- Communicate with your manager about what you learned and share if you think you might want to find time in your schedule to participate in IDEA events.
- Get in touch with us – email our team at Diversity@algonquincollege.com if you have any questions or ideas that arise from your participation in these events.
- Let us know if you are noticing any positive changes in your work environment which you believe are related to having participated in the affinity group conversation circles or Change Activator events.
- Continue to gather perspectives.
- Reflect on what you plan to do to further support positive change and allyship in our work environment.
